Raw A2/A2 milk from Covenant Pastures in Cylinder, Iowa

Our raw milk comes from our own pastured cows on the edge of Cylinder. It's A2/A2, tested, and bottled in glass on the farm, which makes it considerably fresher than milk that goes to a bottling facility before it reaches a store.

Long-term support for our farm. Paying ahead helps us buy the equipment, animals and supplies we need, gives the farm steadier cash flow, and helps us plan ahead.

Savings without a big commitment. Lower-cost raw milk without subscribing to a large amount. If you want to get into dairy processing at home, it's a more economical route.

Good to know

Use it across the farm. Credit is in dollars and works on anything we sell.

Transferable, not cashable. Credits aren't redeemable for cash but can be transferred between customers.

No more subscription discounts. This prepay program replaces our subscription discount. An active subscription is required to join.

If the farm closes or is sold. In that unlikely event, we'll refund the unused share of what you paid.

Subject to availability. Credit doesn't reserve milk; orders are filled as supply allows.

Raw milk FAQs

Questions we hear most about getting our milk, eggs, poultry, and more.

How does ordering and pickup work?

Create an account and place your order online. Customize your items each week, which will pull from your pre-purchased credit automatically. Orders close three days before pickup. Then come by our self-serve farm store in Cylinder, Monday through Saturday, 6 AM to 9 PM, and mark what you picked up on the sheet.

Why subscribe instead of ordering each week?

Subscribers who pre-pay through the Covenant Keepers program get additional credit to shop and save up to $2/gallon, along with priority when milk supply is limited.

Prefer to start with a one-time order? Shop here.

Can I get raw cream or skim milk?

Yes. We sell raw A2/A2 cream by the pint and skim milk by the half gallon.

How long does raw milk keep?

Raw milk doesn't go "bad" like pasteurized milk. It will eventually sour as it ages, so you probably wouldn't want to drink it plain, but you can still use it in recipes.

How do you test and handle your milk?

Every cow is cleaned with an iodine-based pre-dip, and we check udder health regularly with a California Mastitis Test. The milk is cooled within a minute, strained through ultra-fine cheesecloth, bottled in sanitized glass jars and chilled to about 35°F.
